Surrounded by Parks and Recreation
The city of Yucaipa has more than a dozen parks and recreational facilities, offering activities to suit all ages and interests. Facilities include lighted ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, an equestrian arena, rollerblade hockey rinks, a skate park, playgrounds, open lawn areas, walking trails, an amphitheater and group picnic shelters with barbecues. The six-lane, 25-yard municipal pool is open for seasonal recreational swimming, swim lessons and various aquatic activities. Yucaipa also has active teen and senior centers and a Kids Club before-and after-school program. In the summer, families enjoy gathering at Yucaipa Community Park on Sunday evenings for the summer concert series.

Yucaipa Regional Park is one of San Bernardino County's most popular outdoor destinations, spanning 885 acres in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. The park offers camping, fishing, pedal boat and aqua cycle rentals, a swim lagoon with waterslide, group picnic shelters and other facilities. Challenging beginners and low handicappers alike, the beautiful Yucaipa Valley Golf Club offers 18 holes of resort-quality golf for a moderate price. Visitors can soak up a little local history at the Yucaipa Adobe, which was built in the late 1850s and is now part of the San Bernardino County Museum system. Families will also benefit from the convenient shopping and dining variety in Yucaipa and nearby Redlands.

Yucaipa Creek will be served by the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District, which is known for dedicated teachers, administrators and parents. The district boasts several California Distinguished Schools. With outstanding STAR test scores and 80 percent of graduates going on to college, the district is committed to giving all students the opportunity to achieve academic, vocational and personal success. A number of colleges and universities are located nearby, including the two-year institutions of Crafton Hills College, San Bernardino Valley College and Riverside Community College, as well as the University of Redlands, CSU San Bernardino, Cal Poly Pomona and UC Riverside.
